The Ugly Company was founded in 2018 by Fourth Generation Farmer Ben Moore.
Growing up in the Central Valley of California, Ben witnessed farms throw away
millions of pounds of fresh produce due to minor cosmetic imperfections or market
conditions. After years of seeing this Ugly truth first-hand, he knew something had
to be done – thus The Ugly Company was born.

About the Role

-Position Overview-
We are seeking a passionate and reliable administrative assistant. In this role you
will assist our Chief Brand Officer with various tasks, including but not limited to,
fulfilling e-commerce orders, filing paperwork for distributors/retailers, and running
sales reports. This role requires the ability to handle several projects at any one
time as well as being able to respond quickly to internal team requests. This is a
full-time role located at The Ugly Company headquarters in Farmersville, CA.

-Key Responsibilities-
➔ Packing and shipping of e-commerce orders.
➔ Receive and respond to customer service inquiries via email, phone, and website.
➔ Data entry into Customer Relationship Management system
➔ Complete, submit, and file company paperwork for distributors, retailers, and
➔ Utilize accounting system to produce reports for leadership.
➔ Coordinate logistics for trade shows and other off-site company events.
➔ Order and track company promotional items.
➔ Ordering and purchasing of office supplies
➔ Send invoices and record payments as necessary.
➔ Maintain 3rd party certifications and documentation.
➔ Schedule and confirm meetings as needed.
➔ Coordinate team travel arrangements.
➔ Assist in the planning for team building activities and parties.
➔ Greet company office visitors.

-Knowledge and Skill Requirements-
➔ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
➔ Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
➔ Team player with interpersonal skills; focused on team success and collaboration.
➔ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
➔ Display the initiative to identify, then solve potential challenges.
➔ Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task 

-Preferred Skills- (Not Required to Apply)
➔ Administrative experience
➔ Customer Service experience
➔ Familiarity with inventory management systems
➔ Experience with Parcel and LTL shipment logistics
➔ Bi-lingual – Spanish and English
➔ Background in, or personal connection to, Agriculture in California’s Central Valley

-Physical Demands-
While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to
sit/stand for long periods, talk and hear/listen both in person, by telephone, and via
virtual meeting (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams, etc.), and use hands to operate and handle
office equipment. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, stoop or
bend and lift and/or move up to and including twenty-five pounds.
